Keiki O Ka `Āina Family Learning Centers (KOKA-FLC) is a Non Profit 501(c)(3) Corporation that was established in 1996 to serve the needs of the Native Hawaiian community within the context of culturally appropriate educational programs.
Our organization develops and implements “new” Native Hawaiian community site-based programs for parents and preschool children aged 0-5. In addition, we provide support services to enhance both existing and new child development programs. These specialized services include Native Hawaiian cultural enrichment services, development of family literacy curriculum, family mental wellness programs, English/Hawaiian curriculum adaptation and child care programs. A newly developed research and evaluation component is an integral part of our overall program.
In 2006-2007, we serviced over 2,000 children and parents at 40 different sites on Oahu and Maui.
