DescriptionThe women who live at this Salvation Army facility have battled homelessness and drug addiction through out their lives. The Hosing Program offers them a safe place to get their lives back on track. As in previous years, we will be helping the women who live there to clear the yard of leaves and weed the vegetable patch. For the more adventurous, monkey pods have fallen on the roof which need to be cleared off. In the house, we will give the windows their annual cleaning and assist the mothers in keeping their house clean and organized. The resident managers Richard and Debbi will let us know how else we can help on the day of. Most importantly, come with the Aloha spirit of giving and kindness. Each year after cleaning, we join the mothers in a community potluck. Both mothers and volunteers provide dishes. This is a great opportunity for all to create new connections within their community.
