Department of Health and Human Services: Planning Grants for Expansion of the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children and Their Families

This program provides support for the development of comprehensive strategic plans for improving and expanding services provided by systems of care for children and youth with serious emotional disturbances and their families. Priority will be given to system of care approaches that include steps to improve, implement, expand, and sustain comprehensive services and supports throughout a given geographic area, with a focus on children and/or adolescents with a serious emotional disturbance.
Department of Justice and Department of Health and Human Services: Joint Adult Drug Court Solicitation to Enhance Services, Coordination, and Treatment

This program provides support for comprehensive strategies that address the enhancement of drug court services and substance abuse treatment service components in order to build or expand the drug court capacity at the state, local, and tribal levels to reduce crime and substance abuse among high-risk/high-need offenders. Proposed approaches should result in reductions in recidivism and substance abuse of the population of focus while showing an offender’s likelihood of successful reintegration into the community.
Economic Development Administration: Public Works and Economic Development Facilities Program

This program provides support for the construction or rehabilitation of essential public infrastructure and facilities to help communities and regions leverage their resources and strengths to create new and better jobs, drive innovation, become centers of competition in the global economy, and ensure resilient economies.
Department of Housing and Urban Development: Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency – Service Coordinators Program
Application deadline: July 13, 2011
This program provides support to hire and maintain service coordinators who will assess the needs of residents, with emphasis on low-income families and elderly/disabled individuals, of conventional public housing or Indian housing and coordinate available resources in the community to meet those needs. Family Service Coordinators will provide assistance to families in order to increase earned income and move families towards economic/housing self-sufficiency. Elderly/Disabled Service Coordinators will provide assistance to elderly/disabled residents to ensure they can maintain independent living and age-in-place in their units and avoid placement in a full-care facility to the greatest extent possible.
National Endowment for the Humanities: Humanities Collections and Reference Resources

This program provides support to strengthen efforts to extend the life of important collections of library, archival, museum, and historic materials and make their intellectual content widely accessible, often through the use of digital technology, and to provide an essential foundation for scholarship, education, and public programming in the humanities. Activities that address the preservation and access needs of sound recording and moving image sources are encouraged. In addition, proposed efforts that respond to NEH’s Bridging Cultures initiative are welcome.
