Welcome to OHA’s Legislative Website
This website serves as a resource for our Hawaiian beneficiaries and the broader community to learn about OHA’s work at the Hawai‘i State Legislature.
We hope this website makes it easy for you to participate in the legislative process. OHA will provide you with important updates on its 2011 legislative package, key bills that may affect Native Hawaiians, and let you know how you can get involved to influence pending legislation.
This legislative session, OHA proposed a variety of measures to the Legislature, including a bill to resolve past due revenues from the public land trust owed to OHA, legislation to address disparate treatment in the criminal justice system, and a measure proposing tuition waivers for Native Hawaiian students.
Through this website, OHA hopes to reach out to our community stakeholders and policy makers to inform and educate everyone on OHA’s efforts at the State Legislature in 2011. Now more than ever, we need your participation. Stand up and let your voice be heard!
